Coverflow website interface
I modified an example from another website to display my photos with an iTunes-like coverflow interface.
See my photos with a coverflow interface
How this was done
The sample uses the Adobe Flex 2 web application development software to provide a user interface similar to iTunes' coverflow feature.
I modified the example at Quietlyscheming.com to display my own photos. In addition, I fixed a bug in the original Flex code that caused an error when using the Selection slider bar to look at the last photo in the collection.
Requirements
The example requires Adobe Flash Player 9.

I would love to talk to you about working with me and my team. We are in the process of starting a new company - fully funded - in Austin TX. We will be developing a web application for business all over the U.S. If this interest you at all please contact me and I can provide further information - also - if you could provide me with an annual salary figure as well.

I would love to know your trick - I have Flex - I just didnt know I could do that with it- very cool!
really awesome work.
Love the coverflow like interface. Very cool. One question:
In your experience, do you think it would be possible to add a behavior to the image in focus at any particular moment where when you click on it, it flipped over in manner similar to a Mac OS X widget?
What do you think? Could Flex handle this?
Thanks,
Kyle
This looks very interesting. I wonder if ther is any way get a license to use this? I thought of doing a very nice contacts list.
Best regards

I am interested in paying you to very slightly modify your flex application to do three things:
1. Accomidate more images
2. Make the images 'clickable' add
3. Remove the sliders at the bottom of the page.
I would love to use this for my featured events pages. I had a dream about using this last night and I thank my lucky stars you had the same dream!

Unfortunately, I am not able to do any Flex development right now. Currently I am doing a lot of Ruby on Rails research and it is taking up most of my free time. Thank you for the offer though.
You might also want to check out photoFlow.

I am checking out Quietly Scheming's displayshelf and was wondering if you'd mind sharing how you went about fixing the selection slider bug when selecting the last item?
Thanks,
Thi
I am glad you figured out the issue. Yeah, it was an indexing mistake in the code.
Very nice work, I too would like to talk to you about a couple of potential projects which might interest you.

Works great but sometimes switching dataproviders I get an error.
Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
line #665
var leftBase:Number = unscaledWidth/2 - selected.widthForAngle(0)/2 - (adjacent.getExplicitOrMeasuredWidth()/2 +adjacent.widthForAngle(a)*2/10) * c.scale;
This is a bit over my head anybody have an idea I can post my code if someone can help me

I stumbled across your website while looking for an answer.
I'm in the blueprint business.
It would be cool to be able to electronically flip thru a large set of blueprints and create a folder or subset of drawing by dragging and dropping them from the view into a folder.
Can you point me in a good direction for a soulution if there is one? Would you be interested in programming this for my website?
thanks,
walt
